Alina is a psychologist (M.Sc.) and trainee in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She completed her studies in psychology in Würzburg, where she also gained clinical experience on an inpatient ward specializing in addiction disorders. This experience has shaped both her therapeutic practice and her research interests. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Lorenz lab, where her work focuses on gamification and addiction, investigating the potential of digital gamified approaches.
A central part of her doctoral research has been the development of a digital cannabis prevention program for adolescents at risk, combining evidence-based strategies, social-interactive content, and Virtual Reality within a Serious Game format.
Outside of work, she enjoys strength training, running, and spending time with the people close to her — often with something freshly baked.
